Two sets of people, two different answers.

This product sits between you and strangers you send to a funnel. Those are very different relationships, so this notice keeps them apart: what we hold about you, and what gets recorded about your visitors, who are your responsibility and not ours.

Notice

1. About you, the account holder

We hold what running an account requires and nothing decorative:

  • Your email address and a password hash. Passwords are hashed with Argon2 and are never stored or logged in a readable form.
  • Your purchase record. Licence tier, date, and the order identifier from Lemon Squeezy. We never see or store your card number. Lemon Squeezy is the merchant of record and holds that.
  • Your projects. The idea you described, the briefs and funnels generated from it, and your edits.
  • Operational logs. Server logs including IP address, kept briefly, so we can debug and stop abuse.

The legal basis is performing the contract you bought, plus our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure. We do not run behavioural advertising and we have no advertising pixels of our own on this site.

2. About your funnel visitors

When someone lands on a funnel you published, the record is deliberately thin. Enough to compute a verdict, nowhere near enough to profile a person:

  • Which steps they reached and where they stopped.
  • Coarse context: device type, browser family, and a country derived from the IP address. We do not store the visitor's full IP address against their funnel session, and we do not resolve it finer than country.
  • The link they arrived on, carrying your own source, creative and audience labels.
  • A bot signal, so automated traffic is excluded from the numbers rather than inflating them.
  • Anything they typed: name, email, optional phone, questionnaire answers, and whether they ticked the marketing consent box.

That last category belongs to you. You are the data controller for it and we process it on your instructions. You need your own privacy notice covering it, and your funnel links to it. We do not email your visitors, sell their details, or use them to market anything of ours.

A funnel never asks for a card and never charges anyone. The checkout step collects a name, an email and an optional phone number so the founder can tell people when the app ships. There is no card field to leak.

3. Cookies

This marketing site sets no cookies at all. The app sets one session cookie so you can stay logged in. A funnel sets one first-party cookie to recognise a returning visitor within the same test, so one person is not counted as two. It carries a random identifier, nothing about the person, and no other site can read it.

4. Who else processes this data

  • Lemon Squeezy: merchant of record for your purchase, including the invoice and any sales tax or VAT.
  • Our hosting and database providers: running the application and storing its data.
  • An email delivery provider: sign-in links, receipts and the notification that your funnel is ready.
  • An AI model gateway: it receives your idea description and positioning text so copy and creatives can be generated. Your visitors' personal data is never sent to it, and neither are their answers.

Some of these operate outside your country. Transfers rely on standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard.

5. How long anything is kept

  • Account and project data: while your licence is active.
  • Funnel analytics: 24 months, after which they are aggregated into counts with no session-level rows behind them.
  • Server logs: 30 days.
  • Purchase records: as long as tax and accounting law requires, typically seven years.
  • Deleted account: everything above is removed within 30 days, except the purchase records the law requires us to keep.

6. Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to a particular use. Export and deletion are available from your account settings, and if the button is not there yet, email us and a person does it. We answer within 30 days. If you are unhappy with how we answered, you can complain to your local data protection authority.

If you are a funnel visitor and want your details removed, contact the person who published that funnel. They control it. Tell us at privacy@verifytolaunch.com if they do not respond and we will act on it.

7. Children

VerifyToLaunch is for adults building software businesses. It is not directed at children, and accounts require you to be 18 or older.

8. Changes and contact

Material changes are emailed to licence holders before they take effect, and the date at the top of this page always reflects the current version. For anything on this page, write to privacy@verifytolaunch.com. A person reads it.
